Prayer Walks ~ Day 18

What is a prayer walk?
A prayer walk is exactly what it sounds like. Talking a walk and talking to Jesus. We used to do this to prepare for missions trips when I was in high school. We would take a walk around the church and pray for the trip, the people we would meet, the flights, the health of our team, and whatever else we could think of.

How can I take a prayer walk?
Put on your shoes and walk! Walk through your neighborhood, walk through the mall, walk at the park. Set your iPod up with 30 minutes of worship music. Pray for a subject (your spouse, children, health, our country,  etc.) for the length of the song. When the song switches, pray for the next subject.

Who can take a prayer walk?
You! Take your kids, your spouse, your friends, your parents.
Remember: For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20

Why take a prayer walk?
When you're home, their are constant reminders of all the stuff you need to do. Piles of laundry, dirty dishes in the sink, packages that need to be mailed.. When you take the time to take a prayer walk you are removing those distractions and really making that prayer time a priority in your day.

When to take a prayer walk?
Anytime you need a little extra Jesus in your day. Right now perhaps?
